Friday Morning Vegas Stroll

Introduction

On my recent trip to Las Vegas, I had some time to kill on Friday morning.  Shari and her mom had to pack and get ready and that is usually at least an hour long task, so I took the opportunity to venture out on the strip.  I didn't want to run, with my marathon less than 24 hours away, so I threw on some clothes and headed with the goal of hitting the Bellagio to check out the gardens.

The Strip

I headed out of the Mirage and headed south on the strip.  It was about 6:45am and it was still pretty dark out.  It was also raining a bit.

There was hardly anyone out at that hour except for a few cussing drunks and a few runners.  It gave me a great opportunity to snap a few pictures while the casinos' lights were still on.

Atrium at the Bellagio celebrating the Chinese New Year

After making it to the Bellagio, I quickly made my way to the near empty casino to the gardens.  They were celebrating the Chinese New Year.  I pretty much had the place to myself, which gave me a great opportunity to take some pictures:

I was near an incense station, hence the haze
